NORTH PERTH – On Feb. 19, the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to an incident that took place at a Perth Line 86 address in the Municipality of North Perth.
During the investigation, it was determined that one person assaulted the other. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
As a result, a 45-year-old of North Perth has been arrested and charged with assault cause bodily harm – choke, suffocate or strangle, and fail to comply with probation order.
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
