NORTH PERTH – A North Perth resident was charged after an altercation at a residence that involved a weapon.
The Perth County Ontario Provincial Police responded on Dec. 17, 2021 just before 2 a.m. to a report that someone had just been assaulted and threatened at a residence on Perth Line 72. Police investigation revealed that the suspect had an edged weapon during the altercation, and uttered threats of death to the victim. There were no injuries sustained during the incident.
As a result, Edmund Ryan, 62, of North Perth, has been charged with assault with a weapon, as well as uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm.
The accused was released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford to answer to the charges.
