BIOGRAPHY
I have been an active member of the local community for more than 20 years. My wife Tiffany and our daughters Zoe, 9, and Harper, 6, are the most important things in my life.
My family and I are small town people that want to ensure families similar to us have a bright future full of potential for their children to grow within the Township of North Huron.
I am a community-driven individual looking to provide a respectful way to provide leadership to council and staff. In particular, I am experienced in the roles both councillors and staff play in the effectiveness and efficiency of a municipality and will ensure roles are understood and hold council accountable to those roles.
I want to represent the many families just like my own.
I can provide an “open-minded” and respectful approach that a council continues to needs to be successful while partnering with our neighbouring municipalities so we can work together to grow our communities.
Being a leader of a municipality is not about your individual accomplishments but those of your entire council and municipality
BIGGEST ISSUE
Infrastructure – We need to begin to re-invest in our infrastructure while continuing to review all municipally-owned facilities to ensure they are being fully utilized and look for ways to ensure they are.
Taxes – I believe that providing detailed information to the residents is essential to helping family and individuals understand where their tax dollars are spent. As part of our annual planning, services need to be reviewed to ensure that efficiencies are realized and to validate the utilization of our many ongoing services.
Housing – We need to work with both provincial and federal governments to advocate for affordable housing and policies that help control inflation while working with our planning officials to ensure that we have an adequate supply of land for development that is going to meet of current and future needs.
Youth engagement – Advocate for youth engagement and ensure youth-oriented projects continue to develop in our community.
