BELGRAVE – Huron County OPP has charged a North Huron driver with stunt driving after an incident in Belgrave on Nov. 16.
According to a police report, at approximately 10:49 p.m. that night, a Huron OPP officer was conducting speed enforcement in Belgrave when the officer saw an SUV travelling at a high rate of speed southbound on London Road.
Police say a radar device clocked the vehicle’s speed at “more than double the 50 km/h speed limit.”
The driver, 20-year-old Hayden Diebold from North Huron, has been charged with drive motor vehicle perform a stunt – speeding by 50 or more km/h.
Diebold is scheduled to appear in Goderich court on Jan. 4, 2022 to answer to the charge.
