NORTH HURON – The Township of North Huron has announced a burn ban is in place for the entire township, until further notice.
On April 14, the township posted to social media, stating the burn ban it is in effect until further notice due to weather conditions.
The ban was originally announced on April 13 “due to weather conditions and the current fire situation that is utilizing a large amount of area resources, all fires are banned today,” according to a social media post by the township.
Eight fire departments, including North Huron, responded to a barn fire in neighbouring Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh.
The cause of that fire remains unknown at this time.
