July unemployment rate increases to 2.8%

In July, the unemployment rate for the Stratford-Bruce Peninsula Economic  Region increased by 0.4 percentage points to 2.8 per cent after dropping for five consecutive months.

County capital budget to drain reserves down to $1 million

Thirty-three projects totalling $9.6 million were approved for tender in the 2026 Perth County capital budget. The next part of the budget, the draft operating budget, is slated to be presented at the Jan. 22 Perth County Council meeting.
