WALKERTON – Mudmen, “Canada’s Celtic Rock Warriors,” return to Victoria Jubilee Hall next month as part of their 25th anniversary tour.
Mudmen will perform at the iconic Walkerton concert hall on Saturday, March 25 at 7:30 p.m. The show is open to all ages.
Mudmen are no strangers to the area, performing at Victoria Jubilee Hall several times in front of a sold-out crowd while opening for acts such as David Wilcox and The Trews, as well as opening for Sloan at the Kincardine Highland Games.
“Walkerton has been very good to us,” says Robby Campbell of Mudmen. “We always look forward to the Walkerton concert.”
Mudmen have played over 3,000 shows in eight different countries – “A lot of good ones, and a lot of bad ones,” jokes Campbell. “With Walkerton being on the good list.”
Mudmen recently released their 11th studio album, Farmer’s Tan, which has received rave reviews from fans on both sides of the 49th parallel.
Some of the career highlights for Mudmen include meeting and performing for the Queen of England; performing at the 1984 Edmonton Oilers Stanley Cup winning team reunion with Wayne Gretzky, Sarah McLachlan and Red Ryder; performing at the CBC Oilers home opening ceremony; eight Grey Cup fan-fests; performing on the MacKenzie Bros TWO-Four CBC special; opening for ZZ Top, The Guess Who, Gord Bamford, and Dean Brody; and recorded pipes on the CBC Hockey Night in Canada anthem produced by rock icon Bob Rock.
Mudmen have had music featured from their 10 studio CD’s on several TV shows, including WWE, NBC’s The Black Donnellys and HBO’S Shameless.
With 24 years together, Mudmen have performed at festivals, clubs and concert theatres in eight different countries building a legion of fans from young to old.
Tickets for the Walkerton show are $35 plus applicable fees.
