Ethel’s Les Stewart (pictured with wife, Jane) was shown just how important he is to the community on May 2, when well over 100 vehicles driven by family, friends and supporters paid tribute to him with a massive parade that rolled right by his Lamont Drive home on Saturday afternoon. Stewart was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig’s disease in May 2019, and the event was organized by his wife to raise his spirits in a time when COVID-19 has prevented Les from enjoying social engagements and seeing his friends and family.
