The F.E. Madill junior boys’ basketball squad put up a determined fight in its Huron-Perth Athletics home matchup against St. Marys on Jan. 10, but came up just short in a 50-38 loss. The defeat dropped the Mustangs’ record to 1-6 in 2023-24; Will Dickert led Madill in scoring with 16 points last Wednesday afternoon in Wingham.
