Rich Henry, youth education chair for the Walkerton Legion, presented an award on behalf of the District C Remembrance Poster and Literary Competition to one of our local students. Amelia Ruetz, right, from Mildmay-Carrick Public School, placed second in the Primary Black and White Poster competition, competing with entries from 60 other branches in an area from Cambridge to Tobermory. Ruetz’s poster had previously won the branch and Zone C-3 competitions.
