LISTOWEL – A North Perth resident is facing a charge following a missing person investigation in the Municipality of North Perth.
On Jan. 12, 2022 just after 11 a.m., the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a missing 11-year-old youth from a residence at a Listowel address. During the investigation, the youth was located with a family member, who was arrested and charged. There were no injuries as a result of the abduction.
A 40-year-old resident of Listowel, has been charged with abduction in contravention of a court order – receive or harbour.
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford at a later date to answer to the charge.
