Local group receives Guinness verification for burpee record

A new Guinness World Record for group burpees by a team of six women over a 12-hour stretch was established on Aug. 28, 2021 at the New U Personal Training Studio in Listowel, with Guinness officially verifying the record last week. LISTOWEL – After a nine-month wait, it’s officially official. Guinness verified on May 20 that the local six-woman team of Leona Ottens, Ashley Crabb, Katie Battams-Somers, Angelika Veens, Corrie Boer and Alison Brown had indeed established a new world record for most burpees by a group over a 12-hour period.
