LISTOWEL – One person is facing a robbery charge in the Municipality of North Perth following an incident in mid-October.
Just before 12 a.m. on Oct. 15, the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police responded to a report of an assault in the area of Maitland Avenue South in Listowel.
An investigation was initiated and it was determined that a robbery was committed.
The victim in this incident was transported by Perth County Paramedic Services to local hospital with minor injuries.
Marty Gordon, 28, of Listowel was arrested and charged with robbery with violence. The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Investigators do not believe there to be a risk to public safety, however police are reminding all members of the public to be aware of their personal safety at all times and to be extremely vigilant and aware of their personal surroundings.
