LISTOWEL – The North Perth Chamber of Commerce’s premier spring event is upon us once again.
The 2023 Listowel Lifestyle Show is set for May 12-13 at the Steve Kerr Memorial Complex, featuring over 60 area vendors offering a myriad of products and services that will appeal to any family, couple or individual looking to enhance their home, vehicle or outdoor living space. It will be the 22nd edition of the event, and the fourth time it will take place at the Kerr Complex.
“It’s a beautiful facility to enter. It just transforms the look and feel of the show, and the space you’re in,” commented Sharon D’Arcey, North Perth Chamber of Commerce general manager, on the Listowel Lifestyle Show’s venue. “It’s easy to work in as an organization, and the (municipal) staff is amazing. Doing the show as long as we have, it’s smooth to operate, it’s getting easier and easier all the time to put on.”
Listowel’s Country Style Family Restaurant will be providing food and refreshments this time around, with attendees also able to win a prize from the Garden of Gifts if they are lucky enough to unlock the door at the event. Admission is free, although the Chamber will be gratefully accepting non-perishable food items on behalf of the local Salvation Army Food Bank.
The 2022 edition, in its first year back after a two-year-hiatus due to the pandemic, saw over 1,100 people attend the Lifestyle Show. D’Arcey would like to see that number increase even further this time around.
“I don’t know what makes up a great show in terms of entertainment and all these extras, but I feel that we live in one of those communities that people continue to come back year after year – if it wasn’t a good show they probably wouldn’t keep coming back,” she said. “It is a relaxing and somewhat entertaining space for people to come and visit. I always have such a good time.
“Everyone has such as great attitude; they come in smiling and they leave smiling. There’s always been good comments about it.”
The Listowel Lifestyle Show kicks off on Friday, May 12 from 4-9 p.m., and runs Saturday, May 13 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. More details can be found online at npchamber.com.
