Branch 259 utilized 2021 funds for new chair lift, youth education

Listowel’s Tom Turbitt displays the functionality of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 259’s new chair lift, installed this past summer using 2021 poppy campaign proceeds. The Listowel Legion kicks off its 2022 public poppy mail-out campaign on Oct. 29, with poppy donation boxes also available at local businesses. LISTOWEL – Following a highly-successful 2021 poppy campaign that netted $23,800 for Royal Canadian Legion Branch 259 and the services it provides to local veterans, seniors and youth, Poppy Chair Casey Fraser is hoping for continued support from the community for the upcoming 2022 initiative.
