Four Listowel Local League teams competed in the Regional Silver Stick championships in Collingwood last weekend. The U15 and U18 squads fell short of making it to the semifinal rounds. The U11 Cyclones solidified a spot in the finals after an overtime goal against Collingwood; they played Drayton Black in the finals and fought hard, but ended up with a loss and were named finalists. The U13 LL #1 team also solidified its spot in the finals after beating the Lucan Irish in the semis. They faced the Mitchell Meteors in the championship game, resulting in a 6-2 loss and making them finalists as well for the tournament.
