WINGHAM – The Lions Club of Wingham is pleased to announce that the 70th Annual Fundraising Auction (formerly Lions CKNX Radio Auction) will be online beginning Monday, Nov. 22 and ending Monday, Dec. 6 at 7 p.m.
In a release, the Wingham Lions wish to thank all who have given in the past to the success of this major event and invite prior and new donors to contribute as we raise funds to be used for projects in our area. The auction has always provided excellent exposure and advertising for all contributors and the sponsoring service club. Last year, due to COVID-19, the Lions weren’t able to hold the radio auction and this year they are moving to an online auction as CKNX is not open to the public.
The Wingham Lions encoursge donations from businesses as a form of advertisement. Businesses get exposure in three ways:
1. On our display of items at 294 Josephine Street, Wingham (Maitland Auctions store),
2. Through the Lions and CKNX web sites, and
3. Continuously from Nov. 22 to Dec. 6 on the online auction site at maitlandauctions.ca.
The Wingham Lions encourage partnerships this year or make a contribution when a Lions Club Member contacts you.
