Dear Editor:
RE: Prefers warnings, Feb. 13.
While searching for a warm and inviting place to spend our retirement years, I scan local newspapers to get a feel for a place.
While reading the letter about the person stealing the backpack from a thrift store, I too felt the exact same as the letter writer. It has become a very insensitive world lacking heart and common sense.
As much as I totally disliked the newspaper for exploiting someone in need, I totally appreciated the letter writer for taking a stand and pointing out the right thing to do.
Thank you so much, Rachel, for restoring a little faith and presenting a great example of what the world can be.
Sam Metzger,
Waterloo
