To the editor,
I went to the Listowel Ag. Society Hall at two different times during the Tastes of the World event.
The first time, I was met with a line out the door. “I’ll come back about 6:30,” I thought.
When I came back, it was sold out. Perhaps I’ll have better luck next year.
But for everyone who is interested in learning about new cultures, start with food.
The internationally-acclaimed chef Anthony Bourdain travelled the world to learn about new ways of preparing food. He once said, “Food may not be the answer to world peace, but it’s a start.”
