Local Ukrainian immigrant seeks help from the public

The following is an appeal from a young Ukrainian community member named Anastasia. She immigrated to North Perth a few years back, but her family is still at home in the Ukraine.

She requested that It Takes A Village in Listowel be a local collection point for items she intends to send to her home country; she volunteered for the Village team so she could learn English.

Anastasia is seeking items such as: Medical supplies, medicine, first-aid kits, tourniquets, diapers, wet wipes, personal hygiene products, batteries, flashlights, construction gloves, sleeping bags, radios, Kevlar helmets, and bulletproof vests.

Dear editor,

I want to appeal to everyone who is concerned in Canada. I want to offer to help everyone we love, everyone who is now in Ukraine – now they need help, any help!

I want to thank all those who are already doing this who agreed to help us.

Anastasia
