A joint task force across Huron-Perth recently released a pilot project addressing the cost of menstrual products, bringing free products into public libraries. The North Perth Public Library Board would like to thank the Friends of the North Perth Public Library for being a pioneer in this work.
In 2022, as a part of Ontario Public Library Week, the Friends of the North Perth Public Library launched their own pilot to address the needs in North Perth and to lead the way for the municipality. Their work provided examples of how a successful project can be run and has been well received by the community. The North Perth Public Library Board commends the Friends of the Library on their foresight and appreciates their advocacy in this project making free access to menstrual products a reality in North Perth.
