Dear Editor:
Re: Curry in a flurry, Oct. 29.
We are so lucky to live in a community full of caring and supportive people. My heartfelt thanks to all of the volunteers who peeled, chopped and cooked, not to mention, washed countless dishes to bring this fundraising dinner to fruition.
Thanks Advertiser, for covering our takeaway Indian dinner fundraiser, however, there were a few errors in your write up. We actually made 200 meals, not 100. I am not the arts centre director, but one of 13 directors who sit on the board of the ECTFA. Sheila Koop is one of the two co-chairs for the Elora Centre for the Arts.
Two important people were left out of the write up: Lianne Carter, our amazing executive director without whom we would not have succeeded. Secondly, Melissa Seagrove, who not only assisted in the kitchen but recruited the amazing team at Edge Realty who expertly handled the delivery.
A huge thank you to those folks who bought tickets for the dinner. With your help we managed to raise $4,700 for our venerable arts centre!
Deepti Celetti,
Board member, ECTFA
