Editorial demonstrates why people don’t trust media

Dear Editor;

I read your editorial about the media and conspiracy theorists and wasn’t disappointed when you showed why most people don’t trust the media.

The editorial hit all the check marks that the media loves to push. I’m assuming you are talking about whoppers and Trump, Freedom Convoy and the shot at the Conservatives while ignoring the present government’s lies, corruption and division, showing once again the media is politically motivated.

I remember reading about so-called conspiracy theories that came true like MK-Ultra, Tuskegee Syphilis Experiment or COINTELPRO, involving the FBI and 1960’s activist etc.

As for Covid, I remember people questioning if it came from a lab in Wuhan only to be called conspiracy theorist. Now a US subcommittee is saying it most likely came from a lab in Wuhan.

I remember when almost all the media lied about what happened at Ottawa Freedom Convoy and refused to interview doctors and scientists who questioned the narrative around covid or the fact people died or were injured from the vaccine and it was silence from the media.

I remember the Toronto Star having headlines fronting an article showing horrible opinions on what should happen to the unvaccinated and they weren’t the only ones. The only conspiracy theorist are those who think government and the media can be trusted.
