I have a child in daycare, which is held at two schools in Fergus, one for school days the other for holidays and summers. Again this year the school board has decided not to allow the use of the school for the last two weeks of August. This happened last year but the decision was rescinded, this year the UGDSB is standing by this decision. So what exactly do they think parents will do for these two weeks, not everyone can take these weeks off, there are no camps available the last week of August either.
I was always under the impression that children our future, so how can a board that is supposed to think that way also leave so many children and their parents in this situation. Children need structure not confusion.
