WALKERTON – Jack Lambertus Insurance Brokerage recently announced a new partnership with McDonagh Insurance Brokers Ltd.
The Walkerton-based Jack Lambertus Insurance Brokerage was established in 1967 by its namesake, Jack Lambertus. Its growth over the past 55 years has been predominantly internal, stemming from referrals by clients and internal growth. The growth and development of their staff has evolved in a similar manner.
“We have some very high-quality, committed, and loyal professionals working for us. We have invested in their ongoing training and development. As result of the amazing staff and those efforts, we have had great success as a business over the last 55 years,” said Ann Lambertus-Hoover, part owner of Jack Lambertus Insurance Brokerage.
“When Peter made the decision to retire and I decided to stay on for a couple more years, we wanted to partner with someone who had a similar business philosophy as we have always had – family, community, staff appreciation and quality service.
“McDonagh Insurance Brokers Ltd. was the perfect fit.”
Officials say the new partnership will allow Jack Lambertus Insurance Brokers to provide a wider array of services, including travel, as well as access to some markets they did not have access to before, making placing business easier with a more competitive edge.
Lambertus-Hoover said aside from additional services, it’s “business as usual,” making this transition easy on the staff and of course their clients.
McDonagh Insurance Brokers Ltd. was established in 1931 in Lucknow by Jack McDonagh, and is now operating as a fourth-generation business with offices in Lucknow, Teeswater, Wingham, and Atwood. Today, the brokerage is owned by Conor McDonagh, Breanne (McDonagh) Chapman and Robin (McDonagh) Lippold. As for the Walkerton office, they have partnered with Lambertus-Hoover and have been enjoying the partnership that became final on March 1.
“We are always looking to acquire other offices and grow as a company. When approached by Peter and Ann, we were excited for the partnership knowing that we ran very similar, had the same business goals and a great deal of respect for one another. Partnering with a business who has the same community roots we do and sees the value of family made this acquisition an easy decision for us,” said Lippold.
“We have always wanted to service the Walkerton and surrounding areas, so being able to partner with Ann and her amazing staff here in Walkerton has been great and such a seamless transition. We are really looking forward to being in this community and being able to service our clients and get involved,” said Chapman.
