WINGHAM – Joe Kerr Limited has made a donation towards upgrading the full fleet of IV pumps and infusion pump technology at the Wingham and District Hospital.
This donation is being made in recognition of long-time employee John Thomson. Thomson worked for Joe Kerr Limited for 62 years.
“This gift to the hospital, which will help maintain high quality, steadfast healthcare for the whole community, reflects the steadfast dedication to excellence John showed over so many years of loyal service,” stated hospital officials in a press release.
Andrew Kerr, general manager of Joe Kerr Limited, met with Thomson’s daughters and granddaughter in December to honour the six decades of hard work he devoted to the Wingham business.
Hospital officials state this donation towards equipment for the hospital “will bring modern medical technology to many different departments. IV pumps are used in a wide variety of circumstances to deliver specific amounts of medication, such as chemotherapy, at required intervals.”
Added officials from the Wingham and District Hospital Foundation, “Everyone at the Wingham and District Hospital Foundation is grateful to Murray and Andrew Kerr and their team at Joe Kerr Limited for their ongoing generosity. It’s a privilege to be part of honouring John Thomson and his years of service.”
