Ice oval opens (briefly) in Walkerton

The Brockton skating trail, at the new location on the ball diamonds behind the Walkerton arena, is open, as weather permits. Following a week of extreme cold and snow, conditions weren’t the best, but the warmer temperatures and a hint of sunshine Sunday brought out skaters eager to try the trail – bumpy compared to arena ice, true, but the fresh air and lovely scenery makes up for it.
