Huron Perth Ag Science Centre to host first AGM

HURON-PERTH – The Huron Perth Ag Science Centre board of directors announced last week the organization will be hosting its first ever annual general meeting later this month.

The virtual AGM is scheduled for March 29 at 7 p.m. The AGM will provide information about the board’s plans to bring Canada’s first agricultural science centre to North Perth, as well as a presentation from guest speaker Brock Gorrell.

Gorrell is the director of museum and adventures at Fair Oaks Farms in Indiana. He will share highlights of what has made Fair Oaks Farms the premier agricultural tourist attraction in the United States.

Pre-registration for the AGM is required to participate.

Participants of the AGM are welcome to view the presentations, but only those with valid memberships are able to vote during the AGM.

The cost of membership is $20 and helps the organization cover its “very modest administrative costs.”

Those interested in becoming a member, donating to the project or registering for the AGM are asked to email huronperthagsciencecentre@gmail.com. For more information about the Huron Perth Ag Science Centre, follow them on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, or visit www.huronperthagsciencecentre.ca.
