CHESLEY – A Huron-Kinloss man is facing a total of 32 charges following a brief foot chase in Chesley on Nov. 17.
In a release, South Bruce OPP say officers were on foot patrol along 4th Street Southwest around 5 a.m. when they saw an individual run into an alleyway.
After a brief foot chase, the individual was arrested without incident. During their investigation, officers determined the individual was wanted by police.
The accused, 35-year-old Dale Southard of Huron-Kinloss, was charged with:
- two counts of break and enter;
- three counts of possessing property obtained by crime over $5,000;
- three counts of possessing property obtained by crime under $5,000;
- theft over $5,000;
- mischief under $5,000;
- unauthorized possession of a weapon;
- possessing a firearm or ammunition while prohibited;
- three counts of driving while prohibited;
- five counts of driving while suspended;
- three counts of use unauthorized license plate;
- two counts of use defaced license plate;
- confuse identity of license plate;
- two counts of use defaced validation;
- three counts of drive with no insurance; and
- fail to wear helmet – off road vehicle.
Southard was held in custody pending the results of a bail hearing scheduled for Nov. 18.
