MORRIS-TURNBERRY – Huron County OPP officers are investigating a snowmobile crash that took place early Saturday morning, southwest of Wroxeter that has resulted in serious injuries.
On Jan. 15, at approximately 12:30 a.m., Huron County OPP, Huron County Paramedic Services and the North Huron Fire Department responded to a snowmobile crash located at the intersection of Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs (OFSC) Trail B108 and C Line Road.
The driver, a 25-year-old from Morris-Turnberry and the passenger, a 25-year-old from Teeswater, both remain in hospital with serious injuries.
Members from the West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management & Enforcement (TIME) Team responded to the scene to assist with the collision investigation.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation however police believe alcohol and speed were factors in this collision.
Huron County OPP reminds all snowmobile operators that the snowmobile trails are currently closed in this area. Access is prohibited and anyone entering the property may be charged with trespassing.
