Dean Fischer remembered as dedicated father, passionate sports fan

Jo-Ann Fischer and her two children, Derek and Hailie, display the shadow box containing the jersey of their late husband and father, Dean, who passed away in November following a courageous battle with brain cancer. The Howick Old Stars donated the jersey to the family as well as a memorial bench in Dean’s name that will be placed next to the walking track at the Steve Kerr Memorial Complex, the arena that he spent a lot of time in as an avid local sports fan.
