If the pre-season game Wednesday, Sept. 22 is any indication, Hawks fans are in for a thrilling season of PJHL action. The first period was scrambly and the visiting team kept the action close to the Hawks’ net, scoring twice before the end of the period. The Hawks settled down in the second and third periods and played a good, competitive game. However, that early lead gave the Bulldogs the win. Final score was 5-3. The regular season begins Oct. 1. Hint to fans – public health protocols – showing proof of vaccination and photo ID, plus giving name and phone number for contact tracing, take time – come early and have your identification ready.
