PERTH COUNTY – On Jan. 23, 2023, at 4:47 p.m., members of the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) detachment, Perth County Paramedic Services and the North Perth Fire Department responded to a collision on Perth Line 55 involving two vehicles.
One person was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The deceased has been identified as 67-year-old Lawrence Hewitt of Harriston.
The OPP Traffic Incident Management (TIME) team attended the scene to assist with the investigation.
Perth Line 55 was closed between Road 154 and Road 155 for the protection of emergency responders.
