MAPLETON – A Hanover man is facing several charges, including theft of a motor vehicle, following an incident in Mapleton Township on June 6.
Wellington County OPP say officers responded to a report of a commercial motor vehicle on Wellington Road 7 that had left the roadway.
Police say the driver was located and was uninjured.
The investigation of the incident determined that the vehicle had been stolen earlier in the day.
Police have charged a 27-year-old Hanover man with several charges, including:
– theft of a motor vehicle;
– possession of property obtained by crime;
– careless driving;
– cannabis readily available; and
– drive motor vehicle – no license.
The accused is scheduled to appear in Guelph court on Aug. 1 to answer to the charges.
