HANOVER – The Grey Bruce Singers are currently rehearsing every week to solidify their vocal talents and create their Christmas show, A Magical Christmas.
For children, the magic of Christmas is that long-awaited time of the year when Santa Claus appears, when a list of desired toys is shared or letters sent to Santa. Instead of instant gratification, children have an opportunity, for a change, to wait for presents. Christmas becomes a place in time where attitudes are those filled with excitement in anticipation of opening those gifts that miraculously appear under the tree.
For adults, it is hopefully an attitude of kindness, generosity and a genuinely caring attitude for others. At a point in time, we become less selfless and a little more concerned about those around us, as much as we are able.
Many may think back to that original Christmas story and the miracle of birth we learned from Bible stories and the music we sing or listen to during the season.
The Grey Bruce Singers will cover it all in song and invite audience members to attend one of their three concerts: Nov. 17 at 7:30 p.m., or Nov. 18 at 2 p.m. and Nov. 19 at 2 p.m. in the Hanover Civic Theatre.
Tickets for A Magical Christmas will go on sale via the website www.greybrucesingers.ca on Oct. 18 or call the Box Office, 519-506-6902 after that date for further assistance in ticket purchases. Adults are $20 each and Children 12 and under, $5.
The choir would appreciate your support in helping to make begin the Christmas season.
