FORMOSA – On Thursday, Nov. 24, the out-of-town judges drove through the streets of Formosa judging the residents’ house decorating contest.
The Formosa Lions Club sponsored this contest with the following homes recognized:
- first place ($200) – Arnie and Anne Boyle at 1213 Bruce County Rd. 12;
- second place ($100) – Alfred Goll and Joanne Gayle at 28 Community Dr.; and
- third place ($50) – Melissa Rehkopf and Peter Kroeker at 1139 Bruce County Rd. 12
Thank you to everyone who decorated their homes and to those that are still planning to decorate. What an added attraction this is for the Formosa Country Christmas (FCC) drive-thru event taking place from Dec. 2-5 beginning at 5 p.m. each day.
The FCC committee and volunteers have outdone themselves this year with new displays erected throughout the village and parks. These volunteers, with the donations from many community-minded people and businesses, will be handing out treats to the children in the cars.
