Easter Egg Hunt held in Formosa, April 8

FORMOSA – The Easter Bunnies were busy in Formosa on Holy Saturday morning.

The Formosa Swans were well prepared for the 300-plus parents and children gathered at the Formosa Community Centre and Recreation Complex.

The youngest kids did their hunting on the outdoor recreation pad, while the older kids (up to age 12) hunted for their treats in the field behind the community centre. The two Easter Bunnies visited with the kids and directed them to their hunting area, where hard boiled eggs and candies galore where scattered and hidden for the kids to find.

After collecting the treats outside, the kids and parents went inside the community centre where the Swans had cookies and juice and a large chocolate Easter Bunny for each of the children. These ladies also provided coffee that the parents could enjoy while the kids had an opportunity to visit Mike Glowing, who was on hand to do face painting. Tables of pictures to colour were also available to occupy the children. Much visiting took place as Happy Easter wishes were exchanged.
