GREY-BRUCE – The South Bruce Grey Health Centre (SBGHC) has announced several temporary emergency department closures for the Walkerton, Chesley and Durham hospitals for the remainder of August. A media release sent by SBGHC CEO and President Nancy Shaw on Aug. 15 cited insufficient staffing as the reason for the temporary closures.
The following temporary closures were announced:
Chesley – Tuesday, Aug. 15 at 5 p.m. until Thursday, Aug. 17 at 7 a.m.; Thursday, Aug. 24 at 5 p.m. until Monday, Aug. 28 at 7 a.m.
Walkerton – Friday, Aug. 18 at 5 p.m. until Saturday, Aug. 19 at 7 a.m.; Saturday Aug. 26 at 5 p.m. until Sunday, Aug. 27 at 7 a.m.; Sunday, Aug. 27 at 5 p.m. until Monday, Aug. 28 at 7 a.m.; Monday, Aug. 28 at 5 p.m. until Tuesday, Aug. 29 at 7 a.m.
Durham – Saturday, Aug. 19 at 5 p.m. until Sunday, Aug. 20 at 7 a.m.; Sunday, Aug. 20 at 5 p.m. until Monday, Aug. 21 at 7 a.m.; Wednesday, Aug 23 at 5 p.m. until Thursday, Aug. 24 at 7 a.m.; Friday, Aug. 25 at 5 p.m. until Saturday, Aug. 26 at 7 a.m.
