PERTH EAST – One person was charged after colliding with a construction worker and fleeing the scene.
On Oct. 17 at approximately 6:16 p.m., the Perth County OPP responded to a fail to remain collision on Road 111 in the Township of Perth East.
The investigation indicated that a driver drove on a closed road; the driver became confrontational and sped off, colliding with a construction worker while leaving the scene. Minor injuries were reported.
As a result, Alexander Stobbart, 29, of Stratford has been charged with assault with a weapon, and failure to stop after accident.
The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford at a later date to answer to the charges.
