Driver of tractor charged with impaired

WALKERTON – You don’t have to be in a car or truck to be charged with impaired driving.

On Oct. 12 just before noon, South Bruce OPP received a report of a tractor being operated by a suspected impaired driver along Durham Street East in Walkerton.

“Officers located the tractor and found that the driver had been drinking alcohol,” states a media release from police.

The accused, 70-year-old Roger Kennedy from the Municipality of Brockton, was charged with impaired driving and operate over 80 milligrams.

Kennedy is scheduled to appear in Walkerton court at a later date to answer to the charges.
