LISTOWEL – On Feb. 11 at approximately 12:19 a.m., a Perth County OPP officer on general patrol was travelling on Wellington Avenue South, in the Municipality of North Perth, when they conducted a traffic stop.
During the investigation, the driver admitted to alcohol consumption. A roadside screening device was administered, and the driver was subsequently arrested and transported to a local operations center for further testing.
A 53-year-old resident of North Perth has been charged with operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).
The accused has been released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford at a later date to answer to the charge.
