BRANT TOWNSHIP – South Bruce OPP have charged a Brockton resident with impaired driving following a single-vehicle crash along Bruce County Road 19 last week.
Police received the report of a crash around 6:14 p.m. on July 30. Officers responded to find the vehicle has left the roadway and had come to rest in a field.
“The driver was found to have been drinking alcohol. They were placed under arrest and taken to a qualified intoxilizer technician for breath tests,” states a media release from the South Bruce OPP.
A 54-year-old Brockton resident has been charged with impaired driving and operate over 80 milligrams. They are scheduled to appear in Walkerton court on Sept. 6 to answer to the charges.
