Crime Stoppers investigating break and enter, vandalism

HURON COUNTY – Huron Perth Crime Stoppers and police are asking for the public’s assistance in solving the following crimes.

Overnight on June 28, thieves broke into a shed on Holmes Line in Morris-Turnberry, stealing a Stihl chainsaw, Stihl leaf blower, two Stihl weed whackers, and a Wahl hand tool.

During the night of June 25, four people broke into an institution on Princess Street in Central Huron. The involved people attempted to get into various rooms and attempted to remove a fire extinguisher from the building. Inventory is being taken to see if anything was stolen.

During the night of June 18, vandals spray painted road warning signs with offensive images and symbols. The paint is black in colour and occurred around the B-Line Road area of North Huron.

Sometime during the night of June 19 vandals attended a property on Ontario Street in Central Huron and punctured the tires of a vehicle parked in the driveway. This has happened to the same vehicle on previous occasions.
