WALKERTON – The County Towne Players wish to announce that Four Weddings and an Elvis by Nancy Frick is set to perform in 2022.
After a two-year hiatus due to COVID restrictions, things are gradually getting back to normal and the doors are now able to open at Victoria Jubilee Hall. The cast and crew are still quite keen and excited to resume rehearsals for this production.
Four Weddings and an Elvis is set in a wedding chapel in Las Vegas where Sandy, the multi-time married (and multi-time divorced) owner of a wedding chapel, has seen her share of matrimonies over the years. In Four Weddings and an Elvis we get to witness four of the funniest. Throw in Elvis, a couple exacting revenge on former exes, two arrogant aging former TV stars, an aging minister, a gentle postal worker, two ex-cons, and a drunken ex-husband, then sit back to enjoy a comedic treat certain to please audiences with its humour and hilarious twists.
Under the direction of Janice Swanton, the show will be staged on the following new dates:
- April 29
- April 30
- May 1
- May 4
- May 5
- May 6
- May 7
Since matinees are quite popular, there will be three this year: April 30, May 1 and May 7.
Many have returned tickets for cash value and that is still an option. For details about that please call Victoria Jubilee Hall at 519-881-2826. Be assured that if you still have your tickets, they can be exchanged at one of our retail outlets for new tickets. Tickets are now available at Holst Office Supplies (231 Durham St. E., Walkerton), Brown’s Pharmacy (331 Durham St. E., Walkerton), A Delicate Edge (319 Durham St. E., Walkerton) and the Victoria Jubilee Hall (111 Jackson St. S., Walkerton).
As always, the County Towne Players look forward to entertaining you.
“Thank you for your continued support,” said the group in a press release. “We appreciate our devoted audiences, our sponsors, our Rotary and Victoria Jubilee Hall partners and our many volunteers who donate their time and expertise.
“And so once again, our theatre troupe is ready to hit the stage! We hope to see you at the Wedding Chapel in 2022!”
