NORTH PERTH – One person is facing criminal charges as a result of a domestic incident in the Municipality of North Perth.
On Oct. 24 shortly after 12 a.m., Perth County Ontario Provincial Police was requested to check the wellbeing of an individual. Police spoke with the initial complainant, and the individual in question, and learned an assault had been committed.
A 47-year-old resident of Listowel was arrested and charged with assault – spousal.
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford at a later date to answer to the charge.
