Catholic school board seeks community input on 2023-24 budget

HANOVER – The Bruce-Grey Catholic District School Board is reaching out to the community for feedback on the upcoming 2023-2024 budget.

The board of trustees and the senior administration team of the Bruce-Grey Catholic District School Board feel very strongly about listening to its stakeholders when making important decisions and creating processes. This includes students, staff, parents, guardians, trustees, partners, and Catholic school supporters.

Our 2023-24 budget operating theme aligns with the 2023 Catholic Education Week theme: “We are Many, We are One.”

This theme supports the board’s desire to meet the needs of every student through opportunities that engage, inspire and nurture Catholic values. As the board embarks upon the 2023-24 budget preparations, the board greatly appreciates your input, feedback, and comments.

“Our annual budget is important as we plan for the upcoming school year. We listen, we value, and we embrace the input and feedback we receive on the programming and services needed to support our students and staff,” said Alecia Lantz, superintendent of business. “I encourage our Catholic school communities to take this opportunity to provide valuable input and feedback towards creating this year’s budget.”

The results of this survey will be utilized by the board’s audit committee, the board of trustees, and the senior administration team throughout the budget preparation and planning process. The feedback will be presented as part of the budget presentation at the June 2023 board meeting.

Those interested in providing feedback can do so through ThoughtExchange, an anonymous interactive tool where your thoughts will be shared but not your identity.

The opportunity to provide feedback will be open until Friday, March 31.
