Soccer – known in most places except North America as football – has been called “the beautiful game.”

Several times a week you might find a game of friendly darts open to the public at Walkerton Legion, but recently the branch held two member-only tournaments, organized by Sports Officer Ron Lamont. 

Royal Canadian Legion branches met recently at Owen Sound for the District C Senior Team Darts Tournament.

Harley Martin started her high school journey to the OFSAA (Ontario Federation of School Athletics Association) track and field championships at the BAA (Bluewater Athletic Association) competition in Kincardine on May 12.

It’s the time of year when thoughts turn to long days on the fairways – in fact, the longest day of the year, golfing with friends, raising funds for a cause that will benefit the entire community.

The Listowel 11U OBA squad hosted the Walkerton Capitals at Jackson Park in local minor baseball action on May 31, with the home side coming away with a tight 9-8 victory.

Listowel’s Between The Lines Sports Campus wrapped up its spring seasons across several soccer and volleyball divisions last month.

For the first time since 2019, the sounds of bat on ball followed by the cheers of fans in the stands will fill the late spring air for Listowel Minor Ball Day, scheduled for Saturday, June 11.

The 2022 North Perth Minor Soccer season is now in full swing, with the U8 Wallace #1 club hosting Listowel #4 on May 31 at Wallace Optimist Park.
