Dear friends, as we step into the warmth and vibrancy of summer, we are reminded of the beauty and grandeur of God’s creation.

Motorcycle gang - what do you picture when you think of this? Long beards, massive groups, tattoos, and leather jackets? Do you also think dirty, reckless and violent? It’s time to see the truth, and hopefully what I am about to share will do just that.

I have this theory about dogs. The theory is, that the best dogs are not the most well-behaved dogs, they are the most memorable dogs.

Made in China. It’s the label you see on most products sold in stores throughout the country. The odd time, you’ll see a product manufactured in some other country. But you almost never see a product that’s made here in Canada any longer.

My television, through its advertising, continually recommends special pills, creams, etc., to cure all remedies. I don’t believe these advertisements.

When a child dies of measles, it is a tragedy. When it happens in a country with readily available, free, effective vaccine, it is even more tragic.

Don’t come for me  – I have a healthy respect for football. If a game is happening, it’s on in our house. There’s a reason sports have been a part of cultures throughout human history: they have the power to bring people together, and that’s important in times of division.

Please allow me space to reply to Brockton Councillor Carl Kuhnke’s article published in your paper on April 24: “Airport would be better under private ownership.”

Raise your hand if you’re having a harder time finding a stiff drink than a family doctor or an open emergency room in your community? How about an affordable home?

I recently found myself chatting with a stranger at a party. As we traded pleasantries, the topic of occupation came up and he explained he was a farmer, while I confessed to being a journalist (an admission that can induce some diverse reactions these days).
