CARGILL – The Cargill District Community Foundation recently announced that the 2023 fall disbursements have been completed.
The organization says these disbursements are made possible by the various fundraising events put on by its dedicated volunteered.
A total of $50,000 was disbursed to the following groups:
– Cargill Lawn Bowlers
– Young at Heart Euchre Club – Cargill
– Municipality of Brockton (mulch for Cargill playground, and replacement boards for 25 picnic tables at the Cargill Park)
– Grey Bruce Children’s Water Festival
– Farmer’s Wellness Initiative Grey-Bruce (mental health)
– Saugeen Hospice
– Walkerton and District Hospital Foundation (chemistry analyzer and cuddle cot blanket)
– Mary Immaculate School – Chepstow
– Paisley Central School
– Walkerton District Community School
– St. Teresa of Calcutta Catholic School
– Immaculate Conception School
– Brockton Regional Training Centre (fire department)
– Walkerton Capitals Junior C Hockey Club
– Ronald MacDonald House Charities
– Dorrell Young Christmas Program
The total funds disbursed by the Cargill Community District Foundation in 2023 is $110,000 between the spring and fall disbursements.
