BRUCE COUNTY – Effective Tuesday, March 1, Bruce County’s transportation and environmental services department has implemented weight/load restrictions of five tonne per single axle on several county roads until further notice.
With the warmer conditions in recent weeks, Bruce County staff have implemented the restrictions to protect the integrity of road infrastructure. During spring thaw, roads are susceptible to damage and the reduction of axle-weights helps preserve the life span of Bruce County roads.
